Get involved
Make YappyChat yours
YappyChat is a small, independent project that grows because of the people around it. Here are the ways you can be part of it, whether you stream, moderate, tinker or just love a good chat window.
Streamers
Collaborate with YappyChat
Give your community something that is theirs. A streamer collaboration adds a set of items made for you to the Perks shop, and they appear for everyone using the app.
- A Yappy skin, colour theme, badge and title made for your channel
- A "Partners" page in the shop with your name and a short bio
- A bundle so fans can get the whole set in one go
- Limited-time drops for birthdays, anniversaries or charity weeks
Moderators
Shape the tools you use
YappyChat is built with moderators in mind, and the best ideas come from people who keep a chat safe every day.
- Tell us what slows you down, and what you wish was one click
- Share how your team works so we can make it smoother
- Try new features early and tell us honestly what you think
- Show your fellow mods: they're the best way the word spreads
Testers
Help us find the bugs
Every chat is different. Big chats, odd emotes, strange network days: you will find things we never would.
- Report anything that looks wrong, with what you expected
- Tell us your Windows version and what you were doing
- Check the "What's new" window after each update and try the new bits
Everyone
Keep Yappy going
YappyChat is free. If you enjoy it, there are small ways to help that mean a lot.
- Tell a streamer or mod friend about it
- Support Yappy with a tip and get perks in return
- Bring your favourite streamer along: collabs start with fans asking
How a collaboration works
From hello to live in the shop
- Say hello. Use the contact form and choose "I'm a streamer or moderator". Tell us about your channel and your community.
- Agree the details. What goes in your set, how long it is on sale, who owns the artwork and how the revenue is shared. All of it in writing before anything goes live.
- Make it together. You supply artwork or ideas, and we build the skin, colour theme, badge and title.
- Launch. Your Partners page goes live in the app and on this site. Your community can find it from the heart button.
YappyChat is independent and is not endorsed by Twitch, Kick or YouTube. Collaborations never present a streamer as Twitch-endorsed.
